New York City Bucket List 2026 ๐Ÿ—ฝ 5 things you MUST do on your first trip

Planning NYC and feeling overwhelmed? Save this post. I broke down the 5 iconic experiences that are actually worth booking ahead (and how to do them without the 3-hour lines).

1. BROOKLYN BRIDGE at sunrise
Walk from DUMBO to Manhattan. 25 minutes, zero cars, best skyline photos. Go before 8am to avoid the crowd you see in slide 2.

2. STATUE OF LIBERTY + Ellis Island
Don't just look from Battery Park. Book the official ferry with pedestal access. Morning slots = calmer water and better light for photos.

3. EMPIRE STATE BUILDING
Classic for a reason. Go 1 hour before sunset. You get day views, golden hour, and city lights in one ticket. That's slide 4.

4. ONE WORLD OBSERVATORY
Highest in the Western Hemisphere. The elevator show alone is worth it. Best on a clear day after rain.

5. CENTRAL PARK
Not just a park. Rent a bike, do the Bow Bridge loop, stop at Bethesda Terrace. The view in slide 6 is from the Lake, near San Remo towers.

TRAVEL HACK from a ticket seller: these 5 sell out 2-3 weeks ahead in summer and December.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Planning your visit? Comment "NYC" and I'll send you the exact links, best times, and skip-the-line options for each spot. Or just send this to your travel partner so you both have the list.

Save this for your 2026 trip. You will need it when you land at JFK and realize NYC is bigger than you though

Step into the sky at Edge Hudson Yards ๐ŸŒ†โœจ

This isnโ€™t just an observation deck โ€” itโ€™s the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere. Suspended 1,100ft above NYC with a glass floor, angled walls, and 360ยฐ views thatโ€™ll leave you speechless.

Sunset hits different from up here. Ready to see NYC from the edge?
