By featuring local artisans and focusing on authenticity, we aim to spread the wealth of culture and creativity that has given our neighborhood its special reputation. We hope that you'll check in with us often, and give us feedback on what you want to discover from Harlem. Harlem Exports was started by Harlem-based artist and entrepreneur Afika Nxumalo. Inspired by this rapidly growing community in the greatest city on earth, Afika set a goal of building a business that would become a staple in the quickly changing area. As an artist, he wanted to spread the amazing work of the other amazing artists in the neighborhood. We want to provide a range of artisanal products for the Harlem enthusiast. By featuring creations in a variety of price points, we hope we can deliver anything that suits your needs, from small gifts to friends, to new wardrobe pieces, to large centerpieces of your private art collection. We will update our products consistently, and hope you'll support us as we evolve. Harlem Exports is located in the heart of Central/Western Harlem, on 132nd St between 5th Avenue and Lenox Boulevard. We were founded in December 2015 as a holiday fundraiser, but we look forward to expanding into 2016!
