On June 5th, at the REFORMA Northeast Joint Mini-Conference at Brooklyn’s Public Central Library, own our Miriam Tuliao appeared in conversation with Han Zhang— Editor-at-Large—to talk about the publisher’s mission of bringing works from the Chinese language for translation and publication in the United States.

It was a thought-provoking conversation about Han’s experience, the relationships between editor, author, and translator, and feedback she has received from the book community.

We had a wonderful time at the U.S. Book Show this week discussing how audiobooks are shaping the next generation of readers! (Plus, check out those card catalogs in the hallway!) ’s Jennifer Rubins moderated the Little Listeners panel featuring Rebecca Waugh (), Torin Cone (), Dr. Mary Petit (), and Jess Tarrant () celebrating the incredible role that audiobooks play in meeting young readers where they are, creating a more accessible literary landscape, and adding extra joy to classrooms, libraries, and car rides everywhere! We’re excited to announce the recipients of the 2026 United for Libraries & Penguin Random House Grants for Small & Rural Libraries!

💰 30 Friends of the Library groups across the country are awarded cash grants of either $1,000 or $500 to support summer reading programs, senior outreach, bookmobiles, tech upgrades & more.

📚 20 Friends groups will receive $500 to buy Penguin Random House books for their library.

💻 All winners are awarded 1 year of complimentary eLearning & training from United for Libraries.

“Public libraries are essential access points to information, opportunity, and community—especially in small and rural areas. We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue investing in these communities,” says Skip Dye, Senior Vice President of Library Sales and Digital Strategy at PRH.
