The texture of our Black & White Herringbone Towel is similar to that of a heavier blanket. But its not too heavy and you can wear as a shawl too. Its especially good as an airplane scarf/blanket. As a towel its soft, big and absorbent- meeting all the criteria for a perfect towel. I use mine in the bathroom as my regular bath towels since they are so gorgeous to wrap around you after a shower.
