NOAA Lake Tahoe Map printed May 13, 1978. 1:40,000 ft.

This map has amazing detail, is extra large (34”x46”), and has an unexplainable warmth to it.

Purchased in a tube of 10+ maps at a flee market in Petaluma, Ca.

Check out this 1868 Map of California and Nevada that I finally got up in the office this week. We had some leftover reclaimed redwood from another project, so I spent a rainy day making a frame in the shed. I got this map over 10 years ago when a random lawyer showed up at my job at travel Nevada, and asked if anyone wanted a trash bag full of old maps. I told him I collected maps and would definitely take them off his hands. This was 1 of 6 maps of the gold region, passed to me in an old plastic bag, that made me really fall In love with old maps.

This one is for me. It’s wheat pasted to a piece a Baltic birch ply wood and framed in with reclaimed wood that we had laying around the house. Spending this much time at home has given me the luxury of spending a little more time making things, and that is one thing I am grateful for.

We have this map ready for reproduction at almost any size, and print on museum quality archival paper. Framed prints range from $100-1,100 and are custom made to order. DM for more details.
