Spring vibes in this bag 🍀
[Jasmine Flower Crochet Tutorial]

1. Petals (5 petals per flower)

Start with a magic ring:

1. Wrap yarn around your left hand to make a loop. Insert hook through loop, pull yarn tail to form a slip knot.
2. Yarn over, chain 6 (CH), slip stitch (SL) into first chain to form a ring.

Round 1 (Base):
Insert hook into ring, make 6 single crochets (X), SL to join. Pull ring tight. (Total: 6 stitches)

Round 2 (Afghan Petal):

1. Chain 1 (CH). Insert hook from front into first stitch, yarn over and pull through — 3 loops on hook (see Fig. ①).
2. Repeat: Do the Afghan stitch two more times in the same stitch, so you'll have 9 loops on your hook (see Figure ②).

3. Shape the petal: Slip stitch the loops from the outside in, leaving just 1 loop on your hook at the end (Figure ③).

4. Space them out: After finishing one petal, repeat the steps in the next stitch. Make 5 petals total, then slip stitch to secure (Figure ④).
2. Flower Center and Stem
1. Flower Center: Switch to green yarn, make 5 chain stitches (CH) in the center of your flower, then work 4 single crochets (X) in the 2nd chain from your hook, and slip stitch (SL) back to the center.
2. Flower Stem: Keep going with 15 chain stitches (CH), making 1 single crochet (X) every 3 chains to create a spiral stem.
III. Crocheting the Grid Bag Body (with size chart)
Target Size: Bottom length 20cm × Height 25cm
(feel free to adjust based on your yarn thickness)

1. Bag Bottom (Rectangular Base)

1. Starting: Chain 30 stitches (CH), then work 28 single crochets (X) in the 2nd chain from your hook, and make 3 single crochets in the last stitch (that's your corner increase).
2. Row 2: Turn your work, chain 1 (CH), then work 28 single crochets along the bottom edge, make 2 single crochets in the last stitch, and slip stitch (SL) to join (that's 30 stitches total).
3. Rows 3-4: Just repeat Row 2 to create a 4-row rectangular base (Figure 5).

2. Grid Body (Openwork Pattern)

Round 1 (Starting the Grid):
Pick up 84 stitches along all four sides of your bag bottom (that's 36 stitches per side, with 2 extra...)
3. Weaving in Ends:
Tuck all your yarn ends into the back of your work, and lightly burn the ends of your milk cotton yarn with a lighter to prevent them from unraveling.
