🚨Attention all First State Hobby racers and customers. First off we hope everyone has been having a great outdoor race season but now start getting ready for indoor as we are very excited for what is coming. Over summer time the race program team management and owner have discussed how we want to rebuild the race program and have explored multiple options. After much deliberation we have ultimately come to the decision that we will be discontinuing all aspects of the off road racing program at the start of the indoor season. This decision has not come lightly as we have had a core group of hardcore enthusiasts that have stuck with us through the thick of it and we can’t express how much everyone’s support means to us. We have concluded that the off road market is currently saturated with nearby facilities that are drawing away from our attendance on a weekly basis during the indoor season and making it impossible for us to maintain a margin that justifies the operating expenses and maintenance. I know this is not the news many of you wanted to hear and again we very much appreciate your support over the last 8 years and hope you will continue the journey with us.
Now with the bad news out of the way on to the good news. The decision has been made that we will be installing brand new CRC black carpet in the near future, just in time for indoor season to begin. With the installation of new carpet comes the rebirth of the race program at First State Hobbies. Moving forward we will be a dedicated On-Road and Carpet Oval racing facility. Something the local area is desperately lacking. Look forward to a posted schedule of events, class listings, and updates coming from the store in the very near future. Until we are ready to install the new carpet we will continue with the schedule we have been operating on. With this major announcement and transition we understand there can be difficulties retaining new RC platforms therefore we are currently working on a few things to attempt to help accommodate racers get into the new classes we will be offering if you choose to do so. We would also love to invite anyone interested or new to racing to come down and check out the facility to see what we have to offer and we can answer any questions you have.
Stay tuned for further updates as we approach the indoor season. We hope to see all old and new faces to join us in the rebirth of the race program. Here’s to a great season and the future of FSH!!! We can’t wait to see everyone and have some great racing!!!
