To enter: follow Jungle Express on Facebook and comment on the giveaway post saying what you would spend the credit on and what tank or enclosure it is going in. Both actions are required — a comment without a follow, or a follow without a comment, is not an eligible entry. Sharing the post is welcome but does not create an entry or improve your odds. Entries from both platforms go into the same drawing. One entry per person — if you comment on both, your first comment counts.

www.jungleexpress.net

The store is live.

Rare cichlids, exotic reptiles, live plants, Repashy foods — and care guides written by people who actually keep these animals.

No launch sale. Prices don't change, stock does. Most listings are a single animal or a small group, so what's on the site is genuinely what's in the building.

Overnight live-arrival shipping, flat rate across the Southeast, out of Newberry SC.

Come have a look.

10 days.

Ten species to mark it — and no, we're not only a fish shop.
Fish, tortoises, turtles, snakes, geckos, plants and food. All of it under one roof on the 11th.

Every card in this video is the real profile from the site. Adult size, temperament, pH, temperature, minimum tank, how many to keep together, diet, and where in the world the animal actually comes from. There's a tank-mate checker built in, and you can download any card free.

Guess the parents.

Malawi hap fry, bred here in the fishroom. That's all you're getting.

Here's the thing that makes it a real question: at this size, every Malawi hap looks like the same little silver splinter. No bars, no colour, nothing diagnostic. Colour is months away, and in most haps only the males ever get it. You raise a tank of plain grey nothing for the better part of a year before you find out what you've actually got.

So — what do you think they'll turn into?

Tell us in the comments. We'll post the answer.

Here's a look at what we've been building.

The site goes live September 11. Rare cichlids, exotic reptiles, Repashy foods, and care guides written by people who actually keep these animals — all in one place.

No launch-day sale. Prices on 9/11 are the same as they'll be after. What will move is stock — most of what's going up is single animals or small groups, so the thing worth showing up early for is availability, not a discount.

How many do you see?

A group of Koi Angelfish — the orange, black and white morph named for its koi-carp patterning. No two are marked the same, and the pattern keeps shifting as they grow. That orange on the head usually deepens with age.

Angelfish are one of the classic centerpiece fish for a reason. Tall, slow, deliberate — a mature one commands a tank the way almost nothing else its size does. Give them height rather than floor space; they grow up more than out. Eighteen inches of tank height is the minimum you want.

Down on the sand you'll spot Venezuelan Corys (Osteogaster venezuelanus, still sold as Corydoras venezuelanus almost everywhere). They're a bigger, stockier cory than the common bronze, and they work the bottom all day. Keep them in groups of six or more — they're social and get shy on their own.

Interested? Hit us up and we'll get you set up with one of these beauties.

Count them and drop your number in the comments.

Our first snakes have landed.

Box just hit the table and there are four in here — every one of them a juvenile, and every one going into the collection.

Albino Okeetee Corn Snake
Albino Striped CA King Snake
Anerythristic Tessera Corn Snake
Black & White Banded CA King Snake

Corn snakes and California kings are two of the best places to start if you've been curious about keeping a snake — calm, hardy, and they stay a manageable size.

Interested? Hit us up and we'll get you set up with one of these beauties.

Which one would you take home? Tell us in the comments.

Guess what's coming.

Jungle Express is getting its own home online. www.jungleexpress.net goes live September 11, 2026.

And we're not showing up empty-handed. Three new arrivals are coming with it: one reptile, one cichlid, and one more we're not ready to name yet.

Slow & steady? Fins & flair? Wild colors?

Drop your guess in the comments — we'll reveal them one at a time between now and launch day.

How many baby red-footed tortoises can you spot? 👀 Some of these guys blend in with their grass and greens better than you'd think — take a guess and drop your number in the comments, we'll tell you if you got it right.

Red-footed tortoises are one of the most popular beginner tortoise species out there — omnivores that eat fruit, veggies, and the occasional protein, and unlike desert species they actually need humidity to thrive. These little ones grow into 11-14 inch adults that can live 40-50+ years, so getting one means committing to decades of care.

Thinking about adding one to your collection? Reach out and we'll walk you through what it takes.
