One Roof would like to thank Brenda and her VBS kids for creating so many beautiful birthday cake kits. The children at Mills Chapel Baptist Church wanted to make sure every child who comes here has a way to celebrate with a birthday cake!

This is a very nice project and if you have never seen one, each kit contains a cake mix, a bottle of soda that substitutes for oil and eggs, and icing, candles and birthday plates and even sprinkles...some even have napkins or silverware.

We really appreciate these extras when groups bring them for the families we serve!

On Saturday, St. Paul's sent another team over to help us pack up the GNAP food! Thank you to this great team who worked hard for a few hours and packed up about 75 bags and boxes of food. We really appreciate all your help.

Be sure to come by to pick up GNAP foods if you are a family with young children in the household and are one of our clients.

Does anyone recognize this vehicle?

They dropped off two old tires behind our charity, One Roof. We will have to pay to dispose of them. I am going to add more cameras out back and post everyone who comes and leaves trash here or puts things in the dumpster we have to pay for. It is full right now, of other people's trash. I will also post these pictures on other social media and on our front windows.

PLEASE support your local charities by not making their employees work so hard or running up expenses for them by leaving your trash here. Our dumpster fees are $651.

Thank you to St. Paul's outreach team who came out to help us Monday and Wednesday this week (May 11 and 13th). Between their hard work and help from Central Baptist and the Rutledge Center, we have prepared 375 bags of dry goods going out in our GNAP program (Georgia Nutritional Assistance Program). This is extra food purchased by the state to help families with school aged children in the home who qualify for food assistance. In addition to dry goods, they provide a lot of extra protein products as well. Check with us to see if you qualify; We distribute it until the end of June.

One Roof would like to say a big thank you to St. Paul's outreach team, the outreach team from Central Baptist and volunteers from the Rutledge Center who came to help us pack up GNAP foods for our community On May13th. They easily filled 100 bags of food while volunteering with us!

The Georgia Nutritional Assistance Program (GNAP) provides extra food with protein in the spring each year for families with school age children who qualify for food assistance programs. We are distributing this Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in addition to our regular food program.
