Boom! You get the question, “IF BLACK AND ASIAN PEOPLE WERE SO GREAT, WHY WERE THEY COLONIZED?”
Well, by that logic, Europe must have been “inferior” every time Europeans conquered other Europeans.
See how quickly the argument falls apart?
Rome conquered much of Europe.
The Normans conquered England.
Napoleon occupied enormous parts of Europe.
N**i Germany conquered or occupied much of the continent before being defeated.
Nobody serious concludes that French, Polish, Dutch, Greek, or other European peoples were therefore biologically inferior.
So why is that logic suddenly applied to Africans and Asians?
Because white supremacy did something clever with history:
It turned temporary POWER into permanent IDENTITY.
Colonial conquest was never a global IQ test.
European imperial expansion was aided by maritime technology, fi****ms, industrial production, financial systems, political rivalries, local alliances, and devastating differences in military capacity at particular moments in history.
And the people Europeans encountered were not sitting around waiting for civilization.
India had produced major civilizations, mathematics, literature, architecture, philosophy, and vast commercial networks.
China developed paper, printing, gunpowder, the compass, enormous cities, sophisticated government institutions, and centuries of scientific innovation.
Across Africa stood civilizations and states such as Mali, Songhai, Kongo, Benin, Ethiopia, Great Zimbabwe, and many others, connected to regional and international networks of trade and scholarship.
Then there is the historical detail supremacist storytelling struggles to explain:
Europe itself was conquered repeatedly.
Because conquest does not prove racial superiority.
It proves that one political or military power possessed enough advantages to defeat another at a particular time.
And power changes hands.
Egypt rose.
Rome rose.
Mali rose.
The Mongols rose.
The Ottomans rose.
European maritime empires rose.
Every empire eventually discovered the same uncomfortable truth:
DOMINANCE IS NOT DNA.
Perhaps the deepest insecurity is needing somebody else’s ancestors to be inferior so you can feel superior about your own.
You do not honor European history by turning Europeans into fictional superhumans.
You honor history by studying human beings as they actually were: brilliant, flawed, creative, violent, innovative, cooperative, competitive, victorious, and defeated.
History has never been a racial scoreboard.
It is the complicated story of humanity.
And humanity has never belonged to one color.
