I had not heard about this on Saturday when I got a little over excited on the subject of sneaker waves after a customer mentioned she had heard looking for agates at night with a light made them stand out better. Any time you go to the beach there is a chance of sneaker waves - recently they have been posting more warnings when the ocean & weather conditions make them more likely to occur. They are called “sneaker” waves for a reason - you can’t predict them! The water is cold year round on the Oregon coast and that adds to the risk. Please be very careful on the beach and don’t turn your back to the waves. Let someone know you are going and what time you expect to return. Wear bright reflective clothes just in case someone may need to locate you in the water for a rescue. And stay away from the logs that can move and roll in just a few inches of water.

2024 event is locked in! Dates are January 13th & 14th. Applications have been sent out to last year's vendors. In 2 weeks I will open it up to anyone else with the spots I have left.
