Hi folks! I know it’s Heritage Days in Blain but if you are in the eastern end of the county at all, feel free to visit us here just outside Newport on Middle Ridge Road.

We will only be open from 10-2 today as I have a family baby shower to attend.

Happy October!

Our shop at Abiding Acres Farm is open today, 10-4.

I’m not planning on opening the shop tomorrow, October 3rd, because there are so many wonderful events happening in the area. However, if you were planning a visit in between Canal Days and the Arts Festival at Little Buffalo, send me a message and I can likely accommodate you. I will be heading to Little Buffalo myself around noon but should be around all morning until then.

For today, Tyler and I baked some cookies to share with any visitors to our shop so you’ll find them just inside the door. Also, you might notice some general outdoor chaos and a bit more mess than usual … it’s a sign of growth and change.

Have a great weekend! If you can, get out and support as many local small businesses and artisans as possible.

We are open today and tomorrow from 10-4 as normal.

Lots of new and wonderful things will soon be happening here at Abiding Acres Farm and at times, you’ll notice it will impact our open hours.

Growth is so important and the steps before us will provide Tyler with so many more opportunities while also allowing me to do work I love. When you visit and support our shop, you are making an investment in the future and supporting a young man who works hard every day just to do the most basic of tasks.

This weekend, September 11&12, is our Autumn Open House. We will have extended shopping hours on Friday, from 10-6 and our regular hours on Saturday, 10-4.

We have new fall puzzles and we have the largest selection of our own hand-poured soy candles that we have ever stocked, including new fall fragrances.

We also have a nice selection of books ranging from Christian material, beautifully bound classics, and a variety of nature themed field guides, books, and more.

Feel free to take your time smelling all the candles or just perusing all we have to offer at your leisure. Also, feel free to ask me about Tyler - He is the reason I have created this business and I would be happy to share what we are trying to build.

Good morning!

The shop at Abiding Acres Farm is open from 10-4 today and tomorrow.

However, I will need to close today between 11-12:30 so I can help my Dad. I will get back home as soon as I can to reopen.

I will post with more pictures and information tomorrow but we will be hosting a fall open house next Friday and Saturday (September 11th and 12th). We will have fall-inspired candles, puzzles, and more. We will also be introducing new products from Bamboo Switch that we are excited to share.

Going to the Perry County Fair today?

We are just a hop, skip, and a jump away so why not stop by our shop on your way?

We are open until 4 pm but if want to stop in after that, just reach out and we will gladly stay open for you.

As a reminder, we are closed tomorrow because I am heading to the music festival in Millerstown for a bit. However, if you wanted to visit, please reach out because I might be able to accommodate you. I will only be away for a couple of hours.

Good morning folks!

We wanted to let you know that the shop will be closed this Saturday, August 15th, as well as, next Saturday, August 22nd.

Tomorrow I (Tanya) will be spending time with my Dad and next Saturday, my son, Andrew, will be home and playing at the Christian Music Festival in Millerstown and I want to be there with him.

I will happily welcome you to the shop on either Friday or you are very welcome to reach out to set up an appointment for a different time.

We are also planning a small Fall Open House near the beginning of September so please watch for updates. We have exciting and big things coming here at Abiding Acres Farm for next year and I can’t wait to share them with you.

But for now, Tyler and I have been busy pouring candles. The shop is well-stocked currently with most of our fragrances but by the time of the fall open house, we should have some wonderful, new autumn fragrances for you to try!

**I forgot to mention something important! Beginning today, August 14th, everything in our shop will be 10% off - EXCEPT for our candles, soaps, and Emily Lex Studio water color books.**

Most days I wear my simple silver hoops but other days beg for something fun to lift my spirits and these new earrings are perfect for that!

We are doing a trial run of these handmade earrings from two USA-owned small business. We have one pair of each style so get them while you can!

All are lightweight and suitable for most of us with sensitive ears. 🩵
