We put names, numbers, and department identities on our work every day. Each one represents a crew, a community, and a story.

But today, one number carries a weight all its own.

343

Not just a number. They were 343 people with families expecting them home. Firefighters who entered buildings that everyone else was desperately trying to escape. They climbed because people above them still needed help.

They did not come back down.

September 11 also took thousands of other innocent lives. It left empty chairs in homes across the country and wounds that never fully healed. In the years since, even more first responders have died from illnesses caused by their service at Ground Zero.

Twenty-five years later, the least we can do is stop and remember them as people, not statistics.

May their names always be spoken. May their courage never be forgotten. May their sacrifice never become background noise.

We remember them today.

We will remember them always.

New shield design went live today. 👀

Would you run this layout on your helmet, or change something about it?

Most of the time when we build a new shield design, the first one ends up on my helmet. It’s basically our guinea pig. We get to see how it actually comes together, tweak anything that needs tweaking, figure out where the pricing needs to land, and get some real-world photos while we’re at it.

A few quality-of-life additions around the shop this week: a new leather tool rack, paint bottle holder, and phone and brush stand. Everything now has a proper place—and the workbenches might stay clean for at least five minutes.
