😊 It’s a great day in downtown Conover! We’re here today with our beard products, massage oil, and of course—soap! Several vendors have watermelon. 🍉

The market has been extended to September 5 & 24, however next weekend will be our last Saturday in Conover.

B’s Munchies is here along with Papa Greybeard and Narrow Gauge Coffee.

Coffee, food and good music. What a great way to spend a cloudy Saturday morning.

We're so thankful to have the The New State Cinema in our downtown! We love what the new owners are doing to help breathe cinematic magic back into its walls again! Happy Birthday, State Cinema!

In August of 1936, the doors of the State Cinema opened in downtown Newton for the very first time. Ninety years later, those doors are still open — and we think that’s something worth celebrating!

Join us August 28–29 for the State Cinema’s 90th Anniversary Celebration and Grand Re-Opening — a weekend honoring nine decades of moviegoing memories and looking ahead to what comes next.

🎉 FRIDAY, AUGUST 28

1:00–3:00 PM — Drop-In Reception
Tour the theater, meet the owners, visit with fellow movie lovers, and share some of your favorite State Cinema memories.

4:00 PM — Ribbon Cutting
Help us officially celebrate 90 years in downtown Newton and this new chapter for the theater.

We’re turning back the clock with three classic movies released in 1936 — the same year the State Cinema opened. And in honor of our 90th anniversary, tickets are only $1.00 per movie!
