π CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: ASHLEE & COMMUNITY CLOSET π
One of the greatest joys of the work I do is watching people grow into the very things they once thought were out of reach.
Today, I want to celebrate Ashlee.
Several years ago, Ashlee was one of the women connected to Breaking Free Ministry. During that time, she volunteered in our Double Blessings Thrift Store and became a valued part of the team.
Recently, as Breaking Free Ministry prayerfully evaluated the future of our social enterprise, our Board made the decision to transition away from operating the thrift store so we could focus on expanded community outreach and the EmpowerHer Resource Center.
What happened next was a true full-circle moment.
Ashlee expressed interest in taking the next step and pursuing her own vision. I had the privilege of helping her establish her LLC, Nonprofit, obtain her EIN, and begin building the foundation for both her business and nonprofit goals.
In an incredible turn of events, her nonprofit approval arrived in just SIX DAYS! π
Today, Community Closet is becoming a reality, and a woman who once volunteered in the store is now stepping into business ownership and leadership herself.
This is what empowerment looks like.
Not simply helping someone through a difficult season, but watching them step into purpose, ownership, and a future they are building for themselves.
What makes this story so special is that it has truly come full circle. A store that was originally created to help women rebuild their lives is now being passed on to a woman who once served there and is now creating opportunities for others.
Ashlee, I am incredibly proud of you. Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you during this journey.
Friends, help me congratulate Ashlee and Community Closet as they begin this exciting new chapter! ππ
