If you can't see the Blue, stay the &uck home...

On Friday, Aug. 2, Habersham County’s 7,200 students return to school, along with teachers, administrators, and support staff.

You know where our county’s schools zones are and that the speed limit is reduced when the lights are flashing.

There will be a LOT of traffic around schools on Friday, as well as students waiting on our roadsides to be picked up by the bus.

Slow down, leave a little earlier, put down the phone, and PLEASE pay attention to officers directing traffic.

A Jackson County school resource officer was struck and injured while directing school zone traffic today, but thankfully will recover.

Our deputies will be out working to ensure safety around our schools, so drivers please do your part to make tomorrow a safe first day back for our students.

Thanks to all who came out and did some PICKIN with us this past weekend. It was another few good days and yes the coolness has arrived.
Time for some bbqn ,bon fires, and on the road pickin.
Destination Ohio.
