My best friend got married this weekend and I was her matron of honor! I wanted to do whatever I could do to help make her day perfect! She asked me to make this sign and I was so excited to do so! The summer got busy so I ended up doing a lot of the work the week leading up to the wedding! Artist work great under pressure! Well my paint pen had another idea! Thankfully it was an easy fix but it really added to the stress of the short timeline! Everything worked out and had a perfect wedding day!

As a kid I always had the most colorful art projects, my parents always knew which project was mine just by all the color. Well as I graduated college and through the next few years after, I lost a lot of color around me, I was a victim of millennial grey everything! But over the last 6 months or so I realized that grey is sad and boring and it’s not me so I gave slowly been adding more color back - in my wardrobe, in our home, all around me! So when these corn hole boards needed some loving, I knew I had to have bright colors! I dug through our random paint collection and picked these colors and it’s bringing me so much joy!

Upcycle project that was over a year in the making cuz that’s life with 3 young kids! These chairs are old and were falling apart, so last summer I took them apart and reinforced some spots and added fresh wood to the seat. This is actually my third time upcycling these chairs! I know! But these chairs were my husbands grandmas so we have a slight sentimental attachment to them. They didn’t get finished last summer cuz I ran out of paint so now finally this weekend I made time during my daughters nap to sand and paint this chair. There is a matching chair but that one needs more wood replaced that is falling apart since I replaced some other boards on it last summer so that one isn’t complete but oh well! One chair is fully complete so that’s something! It’s the little things when you are a stay at home mom!

Treehouse work year 2 (2025). We added a rockwall, a trap door (that has been redone over 3 times because at first it was too heavy and now we are trying to find the right construction where it is strong but not too heavy for the kids to lift. We added 3 half walls/railings and one full wall that includes a window. The window has sentimental value, it was a window from my great grandmas house (my uncle deconstructed the whole house piece by piece and saved as much as he could and he gave me a bunch of the windows). And we added swings (but not to their permanent spot). We hosted a party at the end of June last year so we we worked really hard to have all this complete before that. We were exhausted so not much more work was done the rest of the summer.

Quick and easy project I did this past week.
We need more little end tables outside by benches and chairs so I grabbed some wood we had on hand and whipped this little guy up! More little end tables to come cuz this one is already a hit!
