According to local lore, Orfin spent decades traversing backwater circus circuits, abandoned forgotten estates, and shadowy darkrooms across the globe. He believed that certain objects—a cracked glass eye, a wooden ventriloquist dummy with unnaturally smooth porcelain teeth, a preserve jar containing something that occasionally shifted when no one was looking—retained a faint spark of the strange energy of their past owners.
When Professor Orfin vanished mysteriously in the late 1920s (leaving behind only his heavy iron ring and a trunk wrapped in steel chains), his legendary collection disappeared into private attics and hidden cellars for nearly a century.
Decades later, whispers began to circulate around Niles. Odd crates stamped with the faint, faded monogram "T.O." started turning up at local estates and mysterious auctions. Today, Orfin’s Oddities serves as both a museum and a sanctuary for these peculiar artifacts. From taxidermy oddities that seem to watch your every move to century-old curiosities, sideshow relics, and haunted novelties, every piece housed inside holds a secret story.
Some say the museum is merely a shop. Others swear that when the sun sets over North Main, the wooden dummies whisper, the glass jars hum, and Professor Orfin’s legacy lives on in every shadowy corner.
The Legend Lives On: "They say Professor Orfin spent a lifetime collecting things that shouldn't exist.
