House of Rose Estate Sales Estate Sales and Appraisals House of Rose Antiques began as a mother-daughter antiques venture in 1987. The inspiration however came when I was a child.

My first antique was purchased from my father when I was 8 years old. I can remember it was a little antique oil lamp with a tattered shade. My father would urge my sister and I to buy antiques from his little shop, located right in our home. The transactions were recorded into a steno book and deducted from our weekly 50-cent allowance. From here began my affinity to antiques and a skill for busi

ness. In 1984 my father passed away, soon afterwards, I suggested to my mother that we begin our own antique business, continuing the family tradition. In 1987, House of Rose Antiques made it's way into operation. The shop was opened on Rt. 20 in Guilderland, in the same part of the house where my father ran his shop. After lots of prayer, in 1993 I left my 20 plus years of service at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield to concentrate full efforts towards expanding my antique and estate sales business. Today I thank the Lord for His many blessings of the great success in my
business and the wonderful people that I have been fortunate to meet along the way.
