✨ Meet “Western Squid” 😄
One of 22 pieces I currently have on display at Osmosis Gallery, this earthy vessel is a little bit elegant, a little bit whimsical—and definitely inspired by nature.
The inspiration began with a vintage bracelet given to me by a friend. I wanted to incorporate it into the piece as a handle while still allowing the bracelet to remain functional and wearable. I used turquoise accents against the warm earth tones to create contrast and help the bracelet flow naturally into the form.
I love finding ways to create elegance with whimsy in organic forms—just as nature does.

Vision of piece:

An embroidered contour of Boulder County business report the Flat Irons, iconic star tops the piece as the beauty of Boulder‘s natural backdrop, draws us all here.

The many multicolored, leather tassels create the “noise” (movement) to constantly create a community and environment of listening to all inhabitants concerns (human and wildlife)- of continued open space priorities along with conservation measures – open political and climate discord conversations – creating a place we all feel good to be calling home.
