A very tough message to share, but one we wanted to be transparent about with our amazing customers and community ๐ค
First and foremost โ ๐ฌ๐๐ฆ, ๐ฅ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐๐ฑโ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ข๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฏ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐น! We are here, open TuesdayโSaturday from 10amโ3pm, and excited to continue serving this community we love so much.
However, after much prayer and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to list our beloved building for ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ/๐ผ๐ฟ ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ.
For those who may not know, ๐ฅ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐๐ฑ was my nickname growing up, and ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ was chosen because of the feeling of this beautiful building โ its charm, warmth, character, and history. What many donโt realize is that our building is actually ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ผ๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ป ๐ก๐ถ๐
๐ฎ, originally built in ๐ญ๐ด๐ต๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐น.
Over the years it was expanded several times, and in the 1930s, a carpenter was paid to literally hand-saw the building in half and move it to its current location. (If you love local history, be sure to read the full story by Nixa Historian Wayne Glenn (The Old Record Collector)!)
For nearly 100 years in this location, this building has been home to many dreams and businesses, and four years ago we were incredibly blessed with the opportunity to bring it back to life once again. Its beauty, history, and craftsmanship simply cannot be replicated โ from the original charm to the raw live-edge wood, it truly is a reminder that they donโt build them like they used to.
As hard as this decision is, our greatest prayer is that the right person comes along to preserve its history and continue creating dreams, memories, and community here for years to come.
