This Memorial Day we pause to remember and celebrate those that gave their time, their livelihood, their youth, their bodies and minds, and ultimately their lives in service to our country. As a 3rd generation Navy veteran, I – the owner of Barrels of Fun - know first hand many of the challenges and risks that came with service to my country. I understand first-hand many of the sacrifices that come with military life and give honor to those who lost their lives during their time in service.
Service to our country means something different to many veterans and service members. How we serve(d), where we serve(d) and whom we serve(d) for differs but the oath to the Constitution and the rights held within it for everyone in America is the backbone of our service. Those who’s lives were lost in that service have earned the right to our reverence and gratitude. Please take the time today to consider the persons if your life that served and are here to share their life with you, then bow your head in grace and gratitude for those who are no longer with us. Brother, sisters, parents, cousins, friends, neighbors – let’s take at least a moment to remember that their absence is felt and remembered.
Thank you to all my brethren who are no longer with us. You are missed but you are not forgotten. =✪=
