🎉 FAMILY DAY IS COMING TO WOODCRAFT OF NORFOLK/VIRGINIA BEACH!

Bring the family on September 26th. Make something together. And best of all—the classes are FREE!

We’re getting ready for Family Day at Woodcraft of Norfolk/Virginia Beach, and we’ve got three free hands-on woodworking classes planned:

🔨 Make a Toolbox — build a real wooden toolbox to take home.
🖊️ Turn a Pen — get on the lathe and turn your own pen.
🎄 Scrollsaw an Ornament — try your hand at the scroll saw and make an ornament to take home.

These are a chance to actually get into the shop and make something, whether this is your first experience with woodworking or you already have a little sawdust in your veins.

The classes are FREE, but space is limited and advance registration is encouraged.

Bring your own gouges, scrapers, and other turning tools, and we'll show you how to sharpen them using the Oneway and Robert Sorby sharpening systems.

In this hands-on class you'll learn:
🔹 How to grind the most common bevels
🔹 When it's time to sharpen
🔹 How to get consistent, repeatable results
🔹 What a truly sharp tool should feel like on the lathe

After sharpening your tools, you'll head to the lathe to experience the difference for yourself.

Join Ben Bartholomew of Clean Cut Woodworks for Dovetails Decoded, a two-part, hands-on workshop where you'll learn the techniques behind one of woodworking's most iconic joints.

One of our favorite traditions each year is creating a calendar that celebrates our woodworking community—and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Whether you’re building furniture in your garage, turning bowls in your shop, restoring an old tool, teaching your grandkids to make sawdust, or just enjoying the craft, we’d love to see what you’re working on.

🌿 Another Great Night at Women in Woodworking! 🌿

What a fun and rewarding evening at Woodcraft Norfolk! Our ladies rolled up their sleeves and built beautiful countertop herb gardens, learning new woodworking skills while creating a practical project they’ll enjoy for years to come.

From measuring and assembly to sanding and finishing, everyone left with a handcrafted herb garden ready to hold fresh herbs right in their kitchen. More importantly, it was another evening of learning, laughter, encouragement, and building confidence in the shop.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the class such a success. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create next!
