Heads up, Treasure Shoppers! We've got some scheduled work coming up in the next couple of weeks, so our valiant band of volunteers will take some time off to squeeze out the last of the summer! We'll reopen on Wednesday, Sep 9 with more Open days and longer hours.

More news from the Shop: today we hosted the CPO selectees from USS NIMITZ for a community relations work event. Everyone looked sharp in PT gear and garden gloves! Our old friends at Public Works arranged for a large dumpster to be dropped off, and our new friends from the NIMITZ filled it completely in under two hours. Stop by and see the transformation of the grounds all around the Shop - the trees and shrubs are neatly pruned, beds cleaned up, large limbs taken away, and more. Congratulations to these folks, and BZ for today!

It was a hot time at the Shop last night - for sure. Especially since our portion of NavSta had an unplanned power outage for several hours before, and during, our CPO Selectee Shopping night! No pics, because without electricity it was rather dim inside our building, and without A/C everyone was rather hot and sweaty. But we enjoyed a great turnout of shoppers and several extra volunteers, including Marissa from Emma's Alterations, to help out.
Also heard more than once from customers, "This really is a Treasure trove!"

SURFLANT volunteers were here last week and did a super job pruning suckers and broken limbs from the Flowering Cherry and Crape Myrtle trees all around the front yard.
