Time for the Winter Uniform Shift! Who doesn't love to see a sailor in Cracker Jacks and a Dixie Cup?
If you've got SDBs you no longer wear, remember another shipmate can still wear them with pride. Maybe you've lost weight or been promoted. Please consider donating uniform items to the Treasure Shop. Unlike thrift stores out in town, the Shop sells uniforms only to active duty, reserve, and retired Navy service members authorized to wear them. (Yes, your spouse can buy what you need here too.) And all proceeds support the needs of sailors and their families in so many ways all over Hampton Roads.
Oh, and we're OPEN THIS SATURDAY too!

Ooo, one of our MANY customers today shared this photo of herself and friend at last Saturday's Hampton Roads Mom Prom - the gorgeous solid đź’š dress came from the Treasure Shop!
We don’t really have space to sell civilian clothes, but when something really special is donated, we make an acception. At the moment we have several lovely gowns waiting for some lucky ladies to wear at the next formal event. Can't beat the price!

More news from the Shop: today we hosted the CPO selectees from USS NIMITZ for a community relations work event. Everyone looked sharp in PT gear and garden gloves! Our old friends at Public Works arranged for a large dumpster to be dropped off, and our new friends from the NIMITZ filled it completely in under two hours. Stop by and see the transformation of the grounds all around the Shop - the trees and shrubs are neatly pruned, beds cleaned up, large limbs taken away, and more. Congratulations to these folks, and BZ for today!

It was a hot time at the Shop last night - for sure. Especially since our portion of NavSta had an unplanned power outage for several hours before, and during, our CPO Selectee Shopping night! No pics, because without electricity it was rather dim inside our building, and without A/C everyone was rather hot and sweaty. But we enjoyed a great turnout of shoppers and several extra volunteers, including Marissa from Emma's Alterations, to help out.
Also heard more than once from customers, "This really is a Treasure trove!"
