Butter started on the sidewalk at the Sugar Creek Corn Festival in Uptown in 2017. From there, I had a little rack of clothes at The Coffeehouse… then two racks… and eventually a tiny boutique in the Coffeehouse basement (my OG customers, iykyk 🥹).
With so much love, support, encouragement, and belief from our community, family, and friends, Butter became the store you know today in 2018. And here we are celebrating 8 years!
One of my favorite parts of this job is still the sourcing. I genuinely love finding the pieces that make their way into the shop, imagining who will find them, love them, and make them part of their closet. Getting to help you find that favorite piece, the one you keep reaching for over and over, is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
I feel incredibly lucky that I get to call something I love my job. I get to bring Celine along with me. I am surrounded by so many incredibly talented creatives—our photographers, models, stylists, and artists who have worked with me and helped bring Butter to life in so many different ways throughout the years.
Butter is so much more than a store to me. It’s the people, the memories, the friendships, the community, and all of you who have continued to show up and grow with us. 🤎
Thank you for every rack you’ve shopped, every piece you’ve taken home, every kind word, every share, and every bit of support over these past 8 years. I’m so proud of how far this little sidewalk dream has come, and I’m even more excited for everything still to come. Thank you for being here! I love you guys more than you know!!
Cheers to Butter. 🥂🤎
