This week, Red River hosted back-to-back American Institute of
Organ builders' mid-year education seminars. 24 participants traveled to Norman from 12 states and learned from lectures, hands-on voicing practice, and enjoyed social time.

Wednesday and Thursday was spent with an Introduction to Reed Voicing, taught by John Panning of Dobson Pipe Organ Builders.

Friday thru Sunday was spent learning about French Reed Voicing: Clicquot to Cavaillé-Coll, taught by Bertrand Cattiaux.

Welcome to Fisher Neufeld! Fisher joined RRPOC for the summer. He is a musician from Mena, AR. A recent graduate of Henderson State University, Fisher is pursuing his masters in piano performance and pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma. Fisher is also an avid church musician where he leads the congregation in hymns from the organ. Fisher became interested in working on organs as an undergrad student when he got to go into the chambers of an organ for the first time.

Last week, John Riester and Carolyn Manning were in Arizona for a service trip. They had a few hours on our travel day and were able to check out the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix. Highly recommend!
