The Norman Lions Club’s annual carnival fundraiser is back! It will be open Thursday and Friday from 6pm to 10pm, and on Saturday from 11am to around 11pm.

The carnival, in conjunction with the Norman Music Festival, takes place along James Garner Avenue in Downtown Norman.

Attendees can purchase tickets or wristbands at the carnival, with proceeds going to help fund the organization.

Here is your heads up TRAFFIC ALERT for Norman Music Festival Weekend!

TRAFFIC ALERT: NORMAN MUSIC FESTIVAL

Heads up, Norman! Several roads in Downtown Norman will be temporarily closed starting at 11 a.m. Friday (April 24) through 6 a.m. Sunday (April 26) for the Norman Music Festival.

Closures include:
• Main St (Santa Fe ➡️ Porter)
• James Garner Ave (Gray ➡️ Eufaula)
• Jones Ave (Gray ➡️ Comanche)
• Peters Ave (Gray ➡️ Comanche)
• Crawford Ave (Gray ➡️ Comanche)

Expect increased traffic and pedestrian activity in the downtown area all weekend. Parking is limited in the area so make sure to park legally away from yellow curbs, private driveways, and fire hydrants.

Officers will be out on both foot and bike patrol throughout the festival. Have a safe weekend, Norman!
