From the photographic archives of the Cleveland County Historical Society, we have written a pictorial history of Norman, Oklahoma that covers the over night settlement, the entrepreneurial character of settlers, the growth of a university town, the effects of the Great Depression on the town and the two Naval bases established in Norman in 1943 . All proceeds form the sale of the book go to the C

The museum is open until 4:00pm today if anyone needs to come by for copies of the book. Checks and cash accepted in the office. They make great Christmas gifts! :)

Still need to pick up copies of the book for Christmas gifts? Well, we will have them available for sale and signed by the authors during Christmas Open House at the museum for 2nd Friday, December 13th 6-9pm. Come join us for this free event with food, carriage rides, local vendors, and carols by The Norman Community Choral Society from 7:00-7:30pm.
