Lyz started Donate A Miracle thrift store June 1, 2012. Her son Abe came up with the name. They thought many times about changing it, but the name stuck. Lyz started SAKS Closet Foundation, her nonprofit organization, around 2019. Lyz prayed about a name for it for a long time and she truly wanted to keep her kids involved. All of her children have such big hearts. A friend of Lyz's had told her m

aybe she should call it Donate A Miracle SAKS Thrift Ave. Who knows, maybe one day Lyz thought. Lyz decided to make SAKS Closet the name for her nonprofit. Lyz was wishing her children had been involved in the naming of SAKS Closet but then she realized they did without knowing, her children are named: Shevvy, Abraham, KK. Lyz married her high school sweetheart, Jimi. Jimi retired from the University of Oklahoma in Landscape. Lyz doesn't mention Jimi often but helped out in the store until he fell down the stairs. They have been married 45 years. Together they have three children. Their firstborn is Shevvy and she is very much like Lyz. Shevvy is a pharmacy technician, she has an amazing reputation at her job and has a responsibility to so many. Shevvy loves her customers and is very good with them. Abraham was the next born, he has made them very proud. He is a very kind man, he is like Lyz, he would give you the shirt off of his back. He truly works too hard. KK is their youngest born. Lyz describes KK as having a heart of gold. KK has worked out of the home, but always returns to stay home with her children and her plate is so full with her family. That is truly where she needs to be, she works hard to keep her family together, especially after the loss of Lyz's parents.

Hi! I am single mom of 3 kids one being disabled and I am on ssi. I was living in a rent house that my grandma owned for the last 4 years, she unfortunately passed away this Jan and the home I was living in has to sold so I had to move out. I had to move in with my abusive father and we are stuck here till tax time 2027. I am on search of someone who will let me rent to own an rv/camper. I can’t afford a rent house because my income with SSI is only 945 a month. I can afford under 700 to rent one. I have a place by lake thunderbird to stay at but I just need a safe place for us until I can get us a new home in the spring. I clean homes and p**p scoop to help with my income so I never stop trying and working even tho I’m disabled myself. Someone on fb agreed to let me rent one but someone offered him a full cash payment for it and he sold it. I just want a safe place for us and where my daughter can get her inhome therapy at. If you know of anyone or anything that can help me find something I will be forever in debt to you. Thank you for reading this and doing what you do and if you can’t help it’s okay too💕

Washington Baptist Church just gave us 100 brand new backpacks. So we will have those ready this week. Also keep those babies school clothes coming in. We need lots and lots of school clothes help us out so that we can help the community with your help.

School is starting this week and we have got to get clothing collected for all of these children that we can. Thursday is back to school day so Tuesday and Wednesday we will be giving away clothing. We are doing outside FREE. Bring either your child’s enrollment papers or birth certificate of your school children that are going back to school. They will be getting three outfits for free. If these clothes are not clean, we are not taking them, we have to have our babies going back to school and nice things so we need all of your clothes for these kiddos, you can be a part of helping us get their clothes on their backs for school. We will take gently used tennis shoes also. We are also taking new socks and underwear.

UPDATE: This little man right here is getting taken care of. I’ll tell you what I have some amazing followers. And his owner is so grateful.

I have a sweet lady who helped me make a GoFundMe at one point. She has a cat that they have to take to the vet. They believe she has a urinary track blockage and she does not have the funds if anybody knows of a place that would let her pay it out or if any of y’all could help her that would be wonderful.
