Well, hey!
It’s been a little over a year since we closed Spirals, and we’re long overdue for an update.
Closing was hard, but it was the right thing to do. I needed some time to slow down, take care of myself, and figure out what was next. I’m happy to say I’m doing great, just moving at a little different pace these days.
I run into Spirals friends all over town, and it makes my day every time. I miss seeing everybody. The more time passes, I realize that Spirals was less about the hot dogs and more about the people. I’ve missed my people.
In the words of my wife, I’m “pretty retired”. She’s got a point. So what does pretty retired look like these days?
I’m spending my time these days at Outreach Thriftique, the thrift store we’ve owned for years just two doors down from the old Spirals location. I figured, why not bring all of you with me?
In the next few days, this page will become Outreach Thriftique. Same family, same dad jokes, less ketchup and more catching up. We hope you’ll stick around!
