Hi 👋🏻 let me reintroduce myself ✨

My name is Amanda & I am a retired middle school math teacher 👩🏻‍🏫

Over the last 3 years I have been growing a sustainable & successful online social selling business (those that think dare I say the words {NETWORK MARKETING} 😂 have no idea the reality of building a simple business if the products are amazing- you believe the mission & just love what you do!) so… there’s that 😝

Fast forward to September 2020 when I decided to take a leave of absence from teaching 😳 my priority… MY TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. They needed me & with a business already bringing in half my teachers salary (yes the most underpaid & under respected profession) so let’s be honest it was pretty easy to start making sure what I was making my first year of teaching as a social seller 😂

Regardless, I moved my business to Instagram & well what you see is what you get!

I LEARNED all the things. I got FOCUSED. I was CONSISTENT. I had a SIMPLE plan. I let my guard down & started showing up LIKE ME 🤯🤩

I made real connections with amazing humans on Instagram. I made ACTUAL sales on Instagram. Women from other online companies started reaching out asking for help! The 💡 went off.

I invested (yup almost one month of my teachers salary) to perfect my new found craft!

Have you ever felt true heartache & loss?

I choose to share a piece of my story today because I know this post will resonate on some level with many of you.

November 2, 2014, I excitedly walked into the ultrasound room with my husband. Excited to have a chance to see our second child for the first time.

What happened in those next moments felt like an eternity. We found out our daughter, Ayla, had trisomy 18.

If you have ever had the wind knocked out of you, this was 1,000 times worse. Just debilitating. I can see and feel this exact moment as I sit here writing this.

The next 12 days of my life were filled with anxiety, going to school with a smile on my face, worried I had felt her last kick, if Connor would ever meet his sister, what I had done, you name it- I lived it.

I spiraled into an unhealthy mental state filled with fear.

I share this part of my story today because even though this was 7 years ago the heaviness of this month can feel suffocating.

Some days are amazing, easy & effortless. Others, I feel overwhelmed with sadness & grief.

Yesterday while I was on a call with my community, I chose to share a part of my story. These women have only met me through zoom & showed me compassion, love & support.

The feelings of overwhelm & sadness took over. But opening up, sharing, speaking of my daughter gave me peace.

I love talking about her. I love that my children are connected to her. I love that she blesses my home & family every single day.

I share this story because as a small business owner who uplifts, inspires &
motivates other amazing female entrepreneurs, I think it’s really important to allow ourselves kindness during times of grief or uncertainty.

Being a leader means stepping into what feels safe & comforting & not allowing it to hold any meaning about who I am as a mom, wife & entreprenur.

It means tapping into what feels easy for me & not putting any meaning behind that.

It means I run my business how I feel I want to run business.

So take time & space to honor the different seasons of your life & know everything is working out for you just as it should.

💥 The most EASILY MISSED opportunity I see on most IG bios is not clearly stating what you do & who it is for!

I know, I hear it ALL. THE. TIME from my clients- they worry & I know you do too, that you will lose out on potential clients when you get very SPECIFIC in your bio.

Here is the truth 💣 : when you speak to everyone you speak to NO ONE. I am living proof that identifying your ideal client will attract ALL THE RIGHT people. Just ask my clients in my Accelerator program!

The other missed opportunity is the hardest thing for 80% of business owners, do you know what that is?

🎥 Showing up on camera! It can be overwhelming & there are so many mindset blocks we place on it.

If you are ready to take your business to the next level you need these 2 things!

1. a deep DESIRE to build momentum in the online space
2. a mentor who specializes in video confidence

+ What makes you stop outside a store front? Something catches your eye, right?

The same holds true for online business owners & using VIDEO is the fastest way to gain someone's attention. It immediately builds know, like & trust with your community. It also showcases YOU- that is one of the hardest parts for many of my clients. Which brings me to #2.

Your not so “typical” morning!👀

Ok, so I am sitting at my desk about to dig into prepping for next week, & I’m thinking - this morning was not my typical morning 😳

Many of you in this community know I normally head to the gym or get a work out in. I always get up & move my body because that’s a priority, a non-negotiable. However, I negotiated my way out of it today. 😝

👉🏻Here’s the thing… I know my schedule allows for me to fit in a work out this afternoon. My hubby went off to Boston for work early & I found myself the opportunity to sleep in & just enjoy the freedom & flexibility of not getting up & rushing.

Two things happened!
1. I slept in
2. Both my kids came in & snuggled me

♥️the lesson I was reminded today♥️

Be honest with yourself…

When was the last promotional post you shared that wasn’t a spammy piece of content created by someone other than you & with a stock photo from your company who tried… but they just keep missing the mark! 😳

Ok, now that that is settled let’s get down to business. In order to run a business you’ve got to sell on your profile. There are plenty of ways to do this & I teach them all in my signature group coaching program the “Social Sellers Accelerator” program, but over the next 30 days I am teaching how to get 👉🏻More Clients in 30 days & part of what I teach are some strategies for SELLING 🙀on social to your ideal client.
