A sweet friend of mine dropped this our our porch at 3130 as she stopped and prayed for us and our business this week.
Being fully transparent- this past 1-2 years in retail have been the hardest years I’ve seen in a long time.
I’ve watched so many close their doors since Jan. I’ve struggled with where we shift to make this work. I’ve never had as small of a team as I do now and honestly, never felt more discouraged some days.
I’ve even debated should I post this or not. BUT I didn’t start my boutique to wear a facade. I started it for real women, with real bodies, with real lives. And this is real life.
First, let me say that we are not closing. We are expanding our florals to more weddings and more funeral/sympathy arrangements and more events.
We are adding more inspirational gift items.
We are keeping our clothing and shoes and of course accessories. We will still have sizes small-3x.
Here is what I am asking. We like most retail are struggling and the best thing you can do for us is…
1. Choose to shop with us. When it is easier to shop Amazon, but you can make the choice- choose shopping local at Shoppe3130 and Sweet Fig Market.
2. Share. Maybe you’re like so many and you’re spending it all on groceries and gas… we get it. But sharing about us helps more than we can tell you! Repost, share, tag, cheer us on. Seriously- who doesn’t need a good friend cheering them on when it’s hard?
3. When you have a need for flowers- give us the opportunity to serve you and design for you.
I know this is a long, maybe different kind of post but I wanted to address what so many of our small businesses our feeling- even when we don’t say it.
We’re super fans of downtown North Augusta and have sweet friendships with so many of the business owners here. Support them so we can all stick around, grab a donut at Sheila's Baking Co. , coffee at Cavalier's Coffeehouse , a gift at Orange Otter Toys | CSRA’s BEST Local Toy Store , wine at The Grove Gourmet Market, lunch at our restaurant Carolina Hills Sandwich & Sweet Shoppe, a frame at The Beveled Edge, dinner at Sno-Cap Drive-In, Italian ice at Sweet Racie’s, a unique gift at Sonya Mays , a children gifts at Honey and the Hedge, some home decor from High Cotton Uptown & Downtown
