The wind has other plans for Saturday.

With high winds in the forecast, this Saturday's North Beach farmer's market is cancelled. It matters more that our vendors and neighbors stay safe than that anyone stands out in a gale over a folding table.

But the counter's still here. Vaughan Cheese Counter & Bar will be open on 7th Street, 11–8. Come in out of the wind, grab a wedge, pull up a chair.

This fall, I'm opening the doors to something a little different at Vaughan Cheese.

The Cheese Club is a monthly gathering for people who appreciate good cheese, good conversation, and the chance to meet other cheese-loving humans over a board.

Once a month, when we're usually closed, we open up for members only. Come hang out, graze a board, learn a little, have a drink. Every month has a new focus, and you'll go home with three 1/2 lb cuts.

Membership is limited. Come by the shop to talk to Megan or email her at [email protected].
