Today was bittersweet. Today I officially turned over the reigns of the small business that I have been growing over the past 14 years.

I am beyond excited to introduce the new leader at the helm, Caitlin Camberis! Caitlin is my sister-in-law’s sister so our 40+ year old family business is STILL in the family. Caitlin is the perfect person to take over this small business and I have full confidence that she and her family will continue this family shopping tradition for thousands of customers.

It is with deep sadness that I share my husband of almost 21 years passed away unexpectedly on April 29 from a traumatic brain injury. The kids and I are making our way, figuring things out day by day. We are grateful for our faith in the Lord and know that Craig is praising his savior in Heaven. However, there is a hole in our family that will never be filled. He is missed every moment of the day.

I wanted to let all of my Big E friends know that I will not be at The Big E this year but plan to continue personalizing ornaments in my Etsy shop. I know this will make 2 years of not seeing one another but my hope is to be back for 2022.

Since my busy season with Etsy started in mid-November, I’ve been in basic survival mode: eating quick processed meals and snacks, over indulging because my sugar cravings are out of control and eating foods that I know are not serving my body: gluten, dairy, soy and booze🤪

Christmas came and I ENJOYED every single, savory morsel! Christmas cookies are my biggest weakness and because I chose to eat all that gluten and sugar that my body isn’t used to, I’m not in a good place. Here’s how I’m feeling today which is NOT typical: bloated, gasy and loose stools (TMI), rumbly belly noises that are constant and embarrassing, afternoon headaches, restless sleep, napping in the afternoon which I NEVER, EVER DO, brain-fog and of course I’ve put on some weight. It’s not the weight I’m bummed out about, it’s how I’m feeling!

I know some of you are patiently waiting for your ornaments to arrive. Please know that the delays in delivery are entirely out of my control. All shipping carries across the nation are experiencing delays. If there was anything in the world I could do to move your package along, I would!
