As we transition seasons again, here is a trick for getting a better handle on how much of our wardrobe we actually wear.
🍁 Did you do the reverse hanger trick with your clothes at the end of last season? If so, remember to get rid of those clothes you didn't wear.

Part of what keeps many people from getting organized is feeling overwhelmed. This is why I suggest starting not only with one room, but often one section of a room at a time. My grandmother always said, “You eat an elephant one bite at a time” & I find this is the bet approach to organization.
💟 Here is a good start, no matter where in the house you are starting:
1. Choose a section of a room and do each section separately.
2. Pull everything in that section out and sort it by category.
3. Put all items that do not belong in the space, but you are keeping, in their own box to put away later.
4. Go through each category and get rid of items you no longer need or want.
5. Start with what shelves, hooks, and bins you already have. Assess what will fit in and on those, making sure to store by category.
6. If it is within budget, purchase items for organization, especially using the wall and even the back of the door space to make the most of the entire room.
💟 Always Remember: It is not about perfection, but about creating a space where you can find the things you need as quickly as possible so you don't spend extra time searching instead of doing something more valuable.
