We don't really believe in "bad dogs" at Pet Rendezvous.

Some days, the pack doesn't work for a dog. We might have:

🐾 Too many intact/humpy dogs, which means we'll rotate those dogs and/or the dogs being hu**ed. This might mean your dog gets less time in the pack.

🐾 Too many high energy dogs, or not enough dogs to match each other's energy. Say we only get one puppy and a handful of regular daycare dogs that just enjoy napping in the sun. That pup might spend the morning with a staff dog in the playroom or small yard, and then integrate into the pack later when he's less likely to get himself in trouble.

🐾 Some dogs just don't get along, or play together so well that they overwhelm the other dogs. If two dogs get into scraps more than a single time, they'll be rotated in the pack. If two dogs play really well together but are too much for the main pack, they might get time on their own before integrating into the group.

A single dog's confusion in the pack isn't worth putting an entire group of dogs at risk, but that doesn't mean we dismiss that dog, or group of dogs. We will try as many times as possible to find the best solution for a dog.

Dogs tend to feed off one another. A high energy dog can make everyone get the zoomies, which can overstimulate herding dogs or dogs that are responsive to energy spikes. We might have to ease dogs in or give dogs breaks, because the pack changes every single day.

Some days are just hard for dogs, sometimes whatever's happening at home is affecting them, and sometimes the pack just doesn't mesh well. That's okay with us. We keep trying for the love of dogs ❤️

I've got a decent image I will process and share soon, but I am not sure how much I will be able to photograph this fall. I've often been asked to show more of my previous years work on FB, as only a small bit of it is on here. So I will try to more often share new images to FB every week or so. Here's a past season's beauty, the Rocky Gorge bridge, that spans the Swift River, along the Kancamagus Highway. Taken on a foggy fall morning, in pre dawn light.
