Island Craft Shop

Island Craft Shop Artisan Cooperative The Island Craft Shop is the oldest artisan cooperative in Grand Isle County, Vermont. This is a member-owned and operated business.
(1)

It was founded in 1991 by a group of talented Champlain Island crafters including Sue Alenick, Mary Jane Healy, June Lynch and Ethel Schue. Over the years there have been many changes: the shop has moved several times and members have come and gone, but the Island Craft Shop continues to offer some of the best and most innovative Vermont products. From modest beginnings, the shop has grown into a

must-see destination for Islanders and visitors alike. Twenty-one members now exhibit a wide ranging array of unique crafts, from locally sourced preserves to fiber goods, fused and stained glass art, jewelry in a variety of styles, turned wooden household items, watercolor and acrylic paintings, candles, garden ornaments and many other made-in-Vermont items. There is always an artisan member in the shop to welcome you and to answer any questions about the crafts on display

Our new location is 329 US Route 2, South Hero, Vermont.

Today we feature our very own Hollow Brook Farms owners Amy & Tyler and their hand crafted locally made maple syrup with some of the best prices for this stuff around.

In their words.

Hollow Brook Farms is owned by Tyler and Amy Listenik, first-generation sugarers. We started our farm in 2011 with only 2400 taps. It's been a labor of love (and of course sweat, tears, lots of broken equipment, etc.) but we've steadily grown into a larger operation. We produce certified organic maple products in a sugarhouse with two wood-fired evaporators - boiling with wood imparts that traditional smokey flavor that maple syrup is known for. We'd love for you to try our syrup. Try the classic, but we also have some infused syrup and barrel aged that can be used for so much more than breakfast. Let us know what you think if you've tried it!
