Pastry Chef Lora-Marie Goudey-De Leon has been studying the field of baking and patisserie for the last 13 years. After having been self taught and running a successful home-based baking business in Los Angeles, Lora-Marie decided to attend Culinary School to learn the science behind the ingredients and to be able to expand her knowledge in the field, while also making lifelong connections in the

industry she loved. She studied Culinary Arts at Los Angeles Mission College, graduating with Associates Degrees in not only Culinary Arts, but also Business and Restaurant Management. She has since been working in the industry, moving her way quickly up the kitchen ladder. This business has been her dream, her reason for all those years of schooling, and now it is beginning to come to fruition. Currently located in Salem, Oregon, Lora-Marie is finding her footing in the pastry world in a new location and ready to share all her knowledge and love of fresh, local ingredients with the world!

I taught an amazing group of kids at today! It was a Halloween themed class, where I taught kids to make Apple Hand Pies, Mummy Dogs, Bell Pepper Pumpkins with veggie sticks and hummus, Cheesy Witch Brooms and Dirty Q-tip desserts, made with mini Marshmallows, dulce de leche and pretzel sticks!
