Our downtown location is 10th "Most Beautiful Bookstores" in the WORLD. That's wild.

The Last Bookstore, ranked among the most beautiful bookstores in the world and placed 10th, is California’s largest new and used book and record store, and one of the biggest independent bookstores still standing. Housed in a former bank within the historic Spring Arts Tower, its 22,000-square-foot flagship space features marble columns and vaults repurposed to hold vintage books. The store contains more than 500,000 books, records, and collectibles, making it part landmark, part labyrinth. With loads of creative art displays, its most notable ones being a gravity-defying book tunnel made up of books and a cashier’s counter lined with hundreds of books’ leather spines.
