Instead of setting up a high-efficiency SOP, we choose to take another approach to safeguard our users.
Phantom is our flagship reef light.
We skip cheap plastic lenses and high-volume reflector molding.
We seal each optical glass and custom-make O-rings to eliminate any risk of humidity and water splashes entering the fixture from the water surface. This also ensures the light is rugged enough for you to clean its surface even after salt and mineral deposits have built up over time.
The process is cumbersome and time-consuming, but it is worth it for aquarium applications.
Before prioritizing quality control and assembly efficiency, manufacturers should ensure their designs are well-suited for reef tanks and all possible scenarios users may encounter.
