Posted • I finished 5 new mixed media paintings for the festival in Knoxville this weekend! If you’re local to Knoxville come say hi!! It’s open Friday and Saturday from 10am-7pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm! I’ll have this piece and a bunch of other stuff at my booth this weekend! Im booth 92, by the stage, so come say hi!

What a beautiful animal portrait by .illustrations A leopard mother and cub... Big thanks to my friend Angharad .all.one.word who shared a bunch of amazing wildlife photos from her time in South Africa and Kenya! (Swipe over to see her photo, taken in Inyati, South Africa.) I wanted to color this with watercolors, but realized the brush pen ink is more water soluble than actual sumi ink, so resorted to Procreate instead... What do you think of the effect? 🙂

Posted • Maile Lani] Whenever I’m having a hard time finding inspiration for paintings, I always sit down and start painting abstract mixed media pieces. They’re so much fun to create and I don’t really put a lot of pressure on myself when I’m working on them. This is the one I did on my reels yesterday and it’s making me really excited for warmer weather! Painted with paints on . I’ll have this painting and more available at the in April!
