Hey east initiative students this is Jason Skinner a senior at NLRHS. This page was made last year by me and my partner Ming Ho, this page was created for the purpose to help spread other east initiative students projects. We suspected to transfer this page down to someone who wanted to continue our work but no one ever contacted us. If anyone wants to help out send me a message at [email protected] I'll also take project updates and I'll post them on this page to help out.

Well schools coming to a end, we only have 3 weeks left. So i hope this page help speared projects and helped them out. I really enjoyed doing this project to help other students. I hope the next person that has this page really enjoys it to.

Project Update - Forrest Taylor is working on getting a pencil dispenser for the school which will provide school essentials such as pencils, paper, erasers, etc, and it will be for a small price, but the school is not looking for profit, but to provide students with the things they may forget for class.

Project Update - Samantha Hawking and her group are currently taking pictures and documenting the schools in the North Little Rock School District that will be torn down. These buildings have very historical backgrounds. They also have been to Park Hill, North Heights, Bellwood, Pike View, several other Elementary Schools, and Redwood Early Learning Center, but plan to go back and document more. They are take pictures of the outside and inside of the schools. These buildings will be torn down in the future so hopefully they will help capture the memory of these buildings.

Project Update - Elizabeth Bredlow and her partner just got done making a EAST handbook for next year. Now they are working on the cover page for the handbook. I cant wait to see it when its finished.

Project Update - Devyn Mitchells had hosted her Poetry Night last Monday and she said it was a complete susses. She said there where breath taking performances and she was proud that she was part of the planning of the event. All the tables were filled and they had great food. Hopefully she will do this again in the future. Sadly me and Minh couldn't make it but i bet everyone had a blast.

Project Update - Josh and Hayden Dean are currently working on building a bench to place in the front office downstairs in the office. Once it's done, they are going to paint it to incorporate our school colors. Please support them, and hope everything will turn out well.

Project Update - Terrell Keith is working on making teacher cards. Each card will have a picture of a teacher on the front of the card and the description of the teacher will be on the back of the card. Hopefully he will get started and they will turn out well.

Project Update - Nicholas Vasquez is working on a project to use futsal to get people who enjoy soccer to come together and play free matches for fun. He has not yet planned a place or time, but he is working on it right now. I will post further information as he processes hopefully he will succeed!!

New Project Update - Devyn Mitchell is working on an adventure as she calls it is Poetry Night 2013. The event will be hosted in Special Events of NLRHS on April 15th and will sell tickets for $50. The event will hold poetry and a lot of other performances. If you go, there will be waiters to serve anyone who comes to enjoy the arts and festivities.
