What a story!!

I absolutely loved The Pirate Queen by Ariel Lawhon! Lawhon is such a gifted storyteller - she has a way of taking history and making it feel completely alive. The characters, the adventure, and especially the incredibly atmospheric setting pulled me in from the very beginning. I could practically smell the sea air while I was reading! 🌊📚

If you loved The Frozen River, you'll definitely want to pick this one up. The Pirate Queen is another beautifully written, immersive historical novel from an author who knows exactly how to transport her readers.

📚 August Reading Wrap-Up! 📚

Another great month of reading! My standout thriller was Getting Away with Murder by Shari Lapena - twisty, suspenseful, and exactly the kind of book that keeps me turning pages.

I also reread My Friends by Fredrik Backman. ❤️ , and it was just as special the second time around. It is a beautiful story about friendship, art, loss, and the people that make their mark on our lives.
