Throwback Thursday 🎣 — Snook Season Is Back!

Snook season is officially open! And around Lott Bros., that has always meant one thing—snook stories, big fish, and memories made on the water.

For generations, anglers have chased that one special snook… the one that makes the trip, the story, and sometimes the picture you never forget. Looking back at these old photos, it’s amazing to see how much has changed—and how much has stayed the same.

Different boats. Different faces. Different years. But the love of snook fishing never changes. 🎣

📅 Atlantic Coast Snook Season:
September 1 – December 14
February 1 – May 31

📏 Slot Size: 28–32 inches
🐟 Bag Limit: 1 snook per person, per day

Throwback Thursday 🎣🐟

A cooler full of snapper and a day on the water… it just doesn’t get much better than that!

Mutton, redtail, yellowtail, lane and bigeye—some great old-school South Florida fishing memories. 🐟

Back when the fish were plentiful, the stories were big, and the memories lasted a lifetime.

If you recognize yourself or someone you know, reach out! We love reconnecting these old photos with their rightful owners!

Throwback Thursday — Sailfish 🎣”

Long before “catch and release” became the standard we know today, sailfish were one of the most prized catches off the Palm Beach coast. These photos take us back to a time when bringing a sailfish back to the dock was part of the sport and the story.

South Florida’s sailfish community eventually became a leader in conservation and the catch-and-release tradition — a tradition that continues today.

For generations, the thrill has never changed… the fight, the bill, the sail, and that unforgettable moment when you see one come up behind the bait. 🎣
