New Opportunity Thrift Store A New Opportunity Thrift Store is a store that is operated by adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Bag Day is every Wednesday and Friday- $4.00 The North Platte Opportunity Center is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities in Lincoln County and the surrounding area. A New Opportunity Thrift Store offers public shopping and is a day service training site. Individuals work on sorting, hanging, displaying goods, and waiting on customers. Habilitation

is also provided in all activities of daily living, which are needed for one to interact with the public. We also take donations of good quality items. We rely on donations from the community to stay open. Money is put back into services we provide. DONATION GUIDELINES:

WE ACCEPT:

-Gently used CLEAN clothing & Shoes
-Gently used household/kitchen items. We do ask if there are any sharp items, please wrap something around them so that our individuals and staff do not get cut.
-Small appliances such as toasters, blenders, mixers etc.
-Gently used CLEAN bedding
-Purses, bags, suitcases
- Seasonal items
-Home decor
- Jewelry
-Plastic wal-mart bags
-Craft items
-Pet items ( NO FOOD)
-Office Supplies
-Working electronic items
-Dvd's and Cd's
-Toys


WE DO NOT ACCEPT:

-No Furniture
-No large appliances
-No Car seats or Booster Seats
-No TV's
-No lawnmowers/ trimmers
-No chemicals/cleaners of any kind
-No paint (unless small craft paint)
-No Medications or Vitamins
-No Air mattresses

We do ask that you place donations in the bins only. If your donation does not fit in the bin, please bring inside during business hours. When items are left outside the bins, weather can affect them, clothes become wet and soiled, therefore we cannot use them and we are forced to discard them. We sincerely appreciate all of your donations from the bottom of our hearts.

It is going to be a good week, come see us foe the weekly specials.... bag day all week long. Please make sure when your donating thay you put all donations in bags amd please amke sur ethey are clean before putting them in the bins, it makes it alot easier to get things out of the bins.
