A to Z Bookstore

A to Z Bookstore A-Z Books is located in a 1930's building filling more than 4,000 square ft. The store hosts an OPEN MIC every second Friday and fourth Saturday of every month.

A to Z Books is located in downtown North Platte, Nebraska along Highway 83 at 507 North Jeffers, home of Buffalo Bill's ranch,, Union Pacific's Baily Railroad Yard, and the World War II Canteen. with cozy corners and over 50,000 books including a variety of selections of used paperback and hardback books that are bought, sold and traded. Offering customers a rich, warm and comforting atmosphere, our books are all displayed by category to enhance shopping. Our wide selection includes military, regional, western, no n-fiction and children's books along with many collectable books to choose from. We also ORDER and OFFER new books, which includes local authors that range from history, local lore, humor, and poetry. This is an opportunity to present: poetry, music (of any genre), jokes, or anything an individual or group would like to share in a casual environment. All are welcome whether you would like to perform or enjoy the entertainment. The more the merrier!

Say hi to Cat Kid Dickens~ He’s been on the prowl and ambushing people in the store today as he wants to play!

Last weekend more comics hit the shelf, including some Marvel Presents Wolverine. They make for fun little reads of one of the most sought after X-Men mutants in our store. We also have unused Spawn comics out including issue #1. Great for Halloween!

Over the summer, Sharon’s son Martin bought the building that the bookstore is in. Next door was Robert Lowe’s office and it is currently under renovations. This month the electrical work including new lights and fans were installed. Soon the walls will be painted. The space is available for rent and we are looking for a business that could be a good compliment to the bookstore. You can talk to Martin who works the bookstore every Saturday!
