Been busy tending to our dog, who had ACL surgery on her knee a few days ago, but got a chance to get in the Art Room for a bit today! Enjoyed working on my watercolor-pencil coloring skills, AND tried out my new “Starry Colors” water based pigments, to add some sparkle! This sunflower will find its way onto a card at some point! (In first comment, there’s a video showing the “sparkle”!). (**Supplies: watercolor paper, “Celebrate Sunflowers” stamp by SU, Karat Aquarell watercolor pencils, Gansai Tambi ‘Starry Colors’ pigments… and water & a brush!)

I’ve been challenging myself to do a little something different w/ my card making the past few days. I get this wonderful magazine, Daphne’s Diary, that has gorgeous paper, graphics, pics to cut out, you name it! It’s a paper-crafters DREAM! I’ve been cutting things out and saving them and, lately, I’ve started really trying to use the items as elements for my cards. A pretty paper or a cut-out object is the starting point, then I build around that! It’s fun! Here are 3 from today…
