Grateful. Blessed. Thankful. 💛

These are just a few words that come to mind as we look back on this year.

To all of our customers, our friends, and those of you who somehow became family along the way, thank you. Your kindness, your blessings, your words of encouragement, and your support have meant more to us than you probably realize.
We are especially grateful for our small but mighty team this year.

They worked incredibly hard, showed up through the long days, the crazy rushes, the tired nights, and everything in between. We truly could not have done this season without them.

This year wasn't always easy, but there was so much good within it. So many laughs, conversations, familiar faces, new faces, and memories that we'll carry with us long after the doors close.
Four years on the Wildwood Boardwalk gave us more than just a restaurant. It gave us a community.

And for that, we will always be grateful. 💛

After four unforgettable years, this will officially be Papelón’s last season at this location. 💛

This decision isn’t because our community stopped showing up. You have shown up for us in ways we could have never imagined. But the reality is that running a restaurant on the Boardwalk comes with a financial burden that has become increasingly difficult to sustain.

One thing that has always mattered to us is keeping Papelón affordable for families visiting and living in Wildwood. We don’t want the answer to rising costs to simply be raising our prices year after year.

So while we are saying goodbye to this location, we are NOT saying goodbye to Papelón. We will continue with catering, events, and pop-ups while we figure out what our next home base will look like.

We are incredibly grateful for every family that ate at our tables, every person who tried an arepa for the first time, every familiar face that came back each summer, and every memory we were lucky enough to make on the Wildwood Boardwalk.
Being part of the Boardwalk experience has meant more to us than we can put into words.

We don’t know exactly what Papelón will look like over the next couple of years, but we’re excited to find out. ❤️
This chapter is ending. Papelón isn’t.
