Don't miss out on t-shirt weather!

The VP-133 (Patrol Bombing Squadron 133) was a U.S. Navy patrol squadron operating the Lockheed PV-1 Ventura, primarily tasked with maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare, and bombing missions in the Pacific during World War II.

As the war progressed, the squadron supported major amphibious operations, including those surrounding the Battle of Iwo Jima (1945). Flying from forward bases in the Pacific, VP-133 conducted long-range patrols, reconnaissance, and strike missions aimed at securing sea lanes and supporting Allied advances. Equipped with the Ventura, a fast and versatile patrol bomber, the squadron played a role in suppressing enemy positions and providing aerial coverage during the buildup and ex*****on of operations in the Iwo Jima campaign.

The entire Warbird collection is inspired by the work of illustrator Romain Hugault and was developed in close collaboration with him. Each piece reflects his distinctive artistic vision and deep passion for aviation history.

For Barnstormer, working alongside Romain Hugault has been a true privilege and a source of great pride. It is an honor to partner with such a renowned artist, whose talent and dedication perfectly align with our commitment to craftsmanship and storytelling.

Our PBY-5 Catalina sweatshirt is just what this cooler weather needs this fall!

The 14-P-1 PBY-5 Catalina was flown by Ensign Tanner of VP-14 on the morning of December 7, 1941, under orders to “remain on alert during this period of heightened tension.” Just hours before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Tanner spotted a Japanese midget submarine attempting to enter the harbor. The submarine was destroyed in a combined attack by Tanner and the destroyer USS Ward.

As part of the Barnstormer Preservation Program, we are honored to produce this jacket thanks to the exceptional support of the Soaring By The Sea Foundation, which preserves and operates this magnificent Catalina from its home base in Eugene, Oregon. This outstanding foundation and its members are dedicated to preserving military aviation heritage, honoring veterans, educating future generations, and supporting both local communities and the aviation world.

For every “Cat” jacket sold, Barnstormer will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Soaring By The Sea Foundation to help keep this historic aircraft flying.

By purchasing a Barnstormer USA garment, you are helping preserve our aviation heritage and honor our veterans! https://zurl.co/b4tga

Tribute to the Brave: B-17 "Ball Boys" Polo 511th Bomber Squadron

Immerse yourself in history with a poignant tribute to the heroic crews of the B-17s from the 511th Bomber Squadron of the 8th Air Force. The 511th operated primarily from RAF Polebrook and was equipped with heavy bombers, the B-17 Flying Fortress.

The primary role of the 511th Squadron was to conduct strategic bombing raids against targets in N**i Germany and occupied territories, thus contributing to the Allied war efforts to weaken the enemy's industrial and military infrastructure.

During the war, the 511th Squadron participated in numerous bombing missions over Europe, demonstrating courage and dedication in extremely dangerous conditions.

Crafted with utmost care and meticulous attention to detail, this polo features soft and breathable cotton fabric for optimal comfort, while its classic fit ensures a perfect fit for all body types. Every detail evokes the spirit of the 511th Bomber Squadron, nicknamed the "Ball Boys" (ball boys in baseball, in honor of squadron commander Major Clinton Ball.) https://zurl.co/NRJOJ

Once upon a time...

The VC-13 (Composite Squadron 13) operated the Grumman TBM Avenger as part of U.S. Navy es**rt carrier groups during World War II, contributing to anti-submarine warfare in the Atlantic.

Equipped with radar and depth charges, TBM Avengers were used to detect, track, and attack German U-boats threatening Allied convoys. Operating from es**rt carriers, these aircraft conducted regular patrols and strike missions, often engaging submarines upon contact. In several documented engagements, TBM Avengers forced U-boats to surface or contributed directly to their destruction, playing a significant role in reducing the effectiveness of German submarine operations and securing vital transatlantic supply routes.
