Hey Friends - if you're new here, let me get you up-to-date.
Verbena Vinyl hosts listening parties. A LOT. Here are the ones that are coming up in August. All parties are a little different depending on the artist but they follow a pretty similar format here at the store.

📍 Address: Verbena Vinyl, 419 Division St. S. Northfield MN, 55057
🕰️ Time: Usually 6:00pm (check posters/posts)
🎈 Usually: Party specific giveaways/ variants/ goodies.
🆓 Always: Giveaways (posters, stickers etc.)
🏆 Always: Grand prize drawing (this is a big prize, usually merch or something signed)
🎧 Always: We get to listen to the album together!
🆓 Always: FREE!

Sometimes we get to listen to the album early, sometimes it's at midnight, sometimes we are just celebrating during release week. But, we are always getting together to listen to music together and meet other people who like the same artists we like.

☁️ What: Early Listening Party for Alex Warren's upcoming album: WILDCHILD
🌧️ Giveaways: Free sticker sheets, posters and pins; Gift with purchase (available on release day) special record sleeve for your record; Surprise grand prize TBD.
🌩️ Release Date: August 28th, 2026
💿 Variants: There will be a release party version of the record that will only be available to pre-order during an early listening party. This is the Sandy's Beach variant with the signed insert (see picture). 🤩 I will also have the red variant, CDs and cassettes. As always - shout out if you want a CD or Cassette so I can make sure I have enough.

This one time, I was like 25, and I was giving a friend a ride and I said something about Weezer. I couldn't tell you what I said, I probably just spouted off some lyrics that pertained to the situation. However, my friends just got quiet and gave me a puzzled look. And I was like "Weezer"... More raised eyebrows. This man did not know who Weezer was - and he said as much with his full chest. Anyway, I made friends with his wife instead.

Weezer is going to be at Grand Casino Arena on the 20th. Tix are like $50.

I want everyone to be able to hear and experience Good Grief for the first time in community, so I've partnered with Record Store Day and independent record stores around the country for a first listen of my new album on August 22.

You'll get to hear the record in full a whole week ahead of the official release on August 28, and I've sent some special Good Grief goodies to each of the stores that will be available while supplies last.
